It is with deep regret that we have to announce that John Hayward passed away on Sunday the 14th February 2010. Please contact Father Andrew Wadsworth of St. Wilfred's Church, Ellasdale Road, Bognor Regis for details of the funeral arrangements.

LED - Solar lighting has been installed in Sadler Street, this project has been jointly funded by West Sussex County Council, Bognor Regis Town Council and the Joint Action Group of the Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership. They have been installed as a result of residents concerns over anti-social behaviour in the area.
The lights supplied by True Energy are probably the first installation of its type in a public street in this part of the country. Mr Quilliam the resident who spearheaded the campaign for the lights is delighted with the result.

Press Release
Bognor Regis Town Council
The report in the Bognor Regis Observer today referring to
a proposal to remove the word “Regis” is inaccurate. The discussions between
Bognor Regis Town Council and
West Sussex County Council have been in relation to the additional wording
regarding the granting of the ‘Regis’’ title in 1929. The proposed wording
of “Royal Suffix Granted 1929” has now been agreed although the exact size
of the lettering has yet to be finalised. The other matter of discussion is
the size of crest in relation to the rest of the sign.
Both Bognor Regis Town Council and West Sussex County
Council are confident that the remaining issues can be resolved to the
satisfaction of all concerned.
